“South Central Railway has made rapid progress since its inception, and pensioners of the zone are partners in the progress of the zone,” said John Thomas Additional General Manager, SCR.

John Thomas acknowledged and complimented the good work done by the staff from the Personnel and Accounts departments in solving the problems and grievances of the pensioners, bringing down the pending cases to a minimal. Further Addl. General Manager greeted the pensioners.

NV Ramana Reddy, Chief Personnel Officer complimented the representatives of the Railway Pensioners’ Federation and Associations for bringing the grievances of pensioners to the notice of administration.

He also said that conducting the Pension Adalat is not only for pension related grievances but also for other issues. He informed the pensioners to provide the AADHAR numbers and also particulars of family members accurately in a given proforma in order to resolve the issues easily to settle the family pension.

A separate cell has been established in the CPO’s office with association of Accounts department to monitor the grievances on timely mannered. Poorna M Cherla, Financial Advisor and Chief Accounts Officer (G), SCR, stated that from July onwards, a newly developed software will be introduced, which will help to resolve the pension review cases.

A total of 285 cases have been received during Pension Adalat and 262 cases have been resolved. An amount of Rs 5,16,502 was paid against all the cases till now. Venkataramana, President, All India Officer’s Pensioners Association and YN Sastry, President, All India Retired Railway Employees’ Federation, spoke on the occasion. G Srinivasa Reddy, Chief Personnel Officer (Admin) and trade union members from SCRES and SCRMU also participated in the Adalat.
