Free cardiology camp organised
Hridayam Heart Centre conducted a free two-day cardiology camp at SarvaSukshi Colony in Marredpallyon the occasion of Doctors Day on Saturday which continuedon Sunday as well.

During the camp, 110 patients were given free consultation. Speaking on the occasion, Dr G V P Rao, consultant cardiologist & director, Hridayam said that heart attacks can be prevented if people lead a healthy life by avoiding smoking and alcohol.
He further added that heart attacks can be prevented by controlling diabetes and hypertension. Dr Rao added, many a heart attack can be prevented if people go in for annual health check up. A person may have diabetes but shows no symptoms.
There is a perception among people that when a person goes to the washroom often he could be having diabetes but that happens at a later stage when diabetes has already set in.
