A one-day MSME seminar and expo, \'GONAT 2017\' was hosted by BNI Hyderabad, to commemorate its fifth anniversary recently. The event was inaugurated by Mahesh Mac Srinivasan, President, Asia Pacific & National Director, India, BNI; at the HITEX Exhibition Center. He later released a souvenir to celebrate the occasion. 

A one-day MSME seminar and expo, 'GONAT 2017' was hosted by BNI Hyderabad, to commemorate its fifth anniversary recently. The event was inaugurated by Mahesh Mac Srinivasan, President, Asia Pacific & National Director, India, BNI; at the HITEX Exhibition Center. He later released a souvenir to celebrate the occasion.

Over 1,500 delegates from across India attended the event, which had eminent speakers like Bhavesh Bhatia, a visually challenged entrepreneur; Rajiv Talreja, author of best-selling book ‘LEAD Or BLEED’; Mahesh Mac Srinivasan, President, Asia Pacific & National Director, India, BNI; Murali Srinivasan, District Director, BNI India Head and Bharath Shah, Executive Director, BNI, Hyderabad.

The faculty enlightened the audience comprising of entrepreneurs, on best business practices and shared experiences in growing their own businesses. The conference had a business expo, with 100 SMEs showcasing their products and services.

Srinivasan said, “BNI has 2,23,521 members in 8,057 local chapters in 71 countries. Members globally passed on 9.3 million referrals which translated into over $13.5 Bn worth of business in the preceding twelve months alone. India currently has 323 Chapters with over 15,157 members in thirty one cities, which are equally robust and growing from strength to strength.”

According to Shah, “GONAT Expo 2017 gives impetus to the Hyderabad based SMEs, by creating an opportunity to showcase and interact with BNI members from across India, under one roof.” Shah said that BNI Hyderabad has touched the lives of over 1,020 business owners across 23 Chapters and is transforming the way business happens. “It is a complete win-win proposition. our vision is to have 2000 members being part of BNI in Hyderabad by 2020,” he said.

Eminent Business Persons from Hyderabad were felicitated on the occasion. This included Vinitha Datla, former Chairperson, CII, AP; Harish Chandra Prasad, President, Hyderabad Management Association; Ravindra Modi, President, FTAPCCI; Venkateshwarlu, President, Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Ravikanth Reddy, President, National HRD Network, Hyderabad Chapter; Ram Reddy, Head, CREDAI, Telangana; Sarita Reddy, President, Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Telangana; and Vinita Surana, Executive Director, Surana Group of Industries.
