Blood Donation Camp was organised at Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) on July 05to commemorate the occasion of Word Blood Donor Day,which was on June14, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State Branch, Lions Club of Secunderabad Mid Town, Lions Clubs International Dist 320B, Telangana Social  Services.  

Blood Donation Camp was organised at Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) on July 05to commemorate the occasion of Word Blood Donor Day,which was on June14, in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Telangana State Branch, Lions Club of Secunderabad Mid Town, Lions Clubs International Dist 320B, Telangana Social Services.

The programme was inaugurated by G Kalyanakrishnan, Scientist Chairman and Chief Executive, Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad. On this occasion DrDinesh Srivastava, DCE(Fuels and FRF), Dr RP Acharya, DCE(Admin), DrJ Vijay Rao, Chief Medical Superintendant and Manish Priyadarshi, Sr Commandant, CISF Unit, NFC were also present.

Around 150 employees donated blood out of the 150, 62 CISF personnel and 88 NFC employees including four females donated their blood. The employees were medically examined and screened for various ailments and subjected to pheresis by DrRSuresh Kumar, SMO, OHC before the blood donation.

This Blood donation camp was aimed to save the life of patients suffering from thalassemia, which is a genetic disorder in which red blood cells are not formed and once in 21 days they require Blood transfusion to save their lives. This is third time Medical section at NFC organised such a Mega blood donation camp to save the lives of the needy.
