On Thursday, relatives of patients were seen struggling to take their loved ones inside the hospital as there were no boys available.

Laxmamma, 53 was accompanied by her son-in-law had to wait for almost 30 minutes but no one came forward and one had to fend for oneself for a stretcher. Another person was seen carrying a small child in his arms and rushing inside the hospital. It may be noted that just last week the health minister directed the hospital authorities to adhere to standard procedures and not cause inconvenience to people.

Just beside the hospital blocks, heaps of garbage gets collected. Mary, (name changed on request) a nurse said, “With the rains, the longer the garbage accumulates, the worse the problems will get. Many relatives of patients sleep under the shade of trees and are susceptible to catch fever and other diseases.
