As part of their efforts towards promoting storytelling in underprivileged children, Youth ForSeva – Hyderabad is organising ‘Story-fired – come and be a story teller’ in the city.

The announcement was made at a press meet in Banjara Hills on Friday in which members of Youth For Seva, ShyamPenumaka, Hyderabad Chapter coordinator; Venkat Diusari, City Coordinator;ArunmayeeJandyam, Volunteer management Programmes coordinator;Mahendar Kodicherla, Volunteer Management coordinator of Youth unveiled the poster.

“Stories are powerful. They help inculcate values, and entertain us too! They make us see things in a new light and think in ways we’ve never thought before. Telling stories is a large part of what makes people connected to each other,” said Penumaka.

“YFS is organizing this event where in the volunteers go to schools, slums, orphanages and narrate an inspirational story to the students,” he added.

Diusari informed that the event will be conducted across 500 locations in the twin cities with a target of 10,000 volunteers who will be narrating a story based on the theme of 'Resilience' for one million children over a weekend.
