Shrishti Art Gallery organised a group exhibition ‘Triloka’ by threeemerging artists Anupama Alias,Bhartti Verma and Rajashekar Komakula at its premises in Hyderabad.Rajashekar grew up in the surroundings of Visakhapatnam and is very much influenced by nature including trees, goats, and ‘roosters’ which may have been moving at breathtaking speed all around him.

The detailed drawings of Rajashekar show his mastery and control over lines and his penchant of bringing out small minute textures of all characters in the drawings. The colours used in the drawings truly reflect the rural shades and give a rustic feel to the works created.

Bhartti Verma has seen lot of urban life in New Delhi and her paintings look like pictorial images of interiors and exteriors of urban surroundings. A letter box in stark red, a mirror in oval shape, a bath tub, windows, tables and chairs in a living room, writing tables form a part of her beautiful works. There is a sense of architecture and three-dimensionaleffects which realistic feel to the painted objects.

Anupama Alias paints what is all about a woman. Forher, the evolution of ‘Eve’ is reflected in the paintings. It’s all about the identity of a woman in a protected society trying all the time to break away into a world of her own, a world of independence, equality and respect in society.

The soft pink colours depict the sensitive woman who is at times struggling and trying to break away from the bondage towards the open sky. The exhibition is on till August 1 at the gallery premises at Jubilee Hills.
