The Garments Manufacturer and Wholesalers Association (GMWA) is organising a three-day ‘Garment Fair for Garment Manufacturers, Dealers and Retailers’ at Classic Garden in Secunderabad from Sunday.

Addressing a conference on Friday, GMWA president Pawan Bansal along with Amit Bajaj and Atish Agarwal said that the event will be inaugurated by S Niranjan Reddy, Telangana Planning Board Vice-Chairman and Somesh Kumar, Principal Secretary.

This is the consecutive 19th edition of the “Garments Fair Hyderabad”. “This edition will witness a much wider participation in terms of visitors and exhibitors, who are not only from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, but also from Mumbai, Indore, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Ludhiana.

The huge business potential this fair offer is primarily responsible to attract major national brands to participate in the fair. The strategic dates of the fair are also a contributing factor,” said Bansal.

“We congratulate the Government of India on implementation of GST from July 1. This historical decision is welcomed by one and all from the Textile & readymade Industries.

One can look forward to a variety of product lines covering ranges in cotton and blends, woven & knits, treatments finishes, prints and patterns, lines & stripes, embroideries & appliqués. Last year approximately Rs40 crores of business has been generated with 3,000 delegates attending the fair,” he said.
