Hyderabad-based author Sheila Ram Mohan released her book 'I Complete Me - A Journey to Finding Your Missing Pieces' along with film producer ElaheHiptoola and Dr Purnima Nagaraja, Psychiatrist, Psychotherapist and Mental Health Activist on Monday at Saptaparni, Banjara Hills.

The event was followed by a book reading session. Sheila’s book talks about the importance of exploring loving and finding missing pieces of one's self, instead of working on relationships outside.

Speaking on the occasion Sheila said, “In school, science was my favourite subject and because of that I did microbiology where I spent six years of my life on that subject. One of my mentors said, ‘the way you do anything in life, is the way you do everything in a science lab’. And in that very lab, I developed the habit of looking into the areas of my life under the microscope.”

“After going through this, I came across with this concept called ‘life is a mirror’ all those which you see outside, is inside of you. I always realised that they are similar patterns and stories too because we have taught everything but we have not taught to be happy. We always taught that self-love is selfish but it is really not.

I am all for true love but I also believe that we spend a lifetime looking for and working on relationships outside, neglecting the first Valentine of our life – ourselves. We should not put our key to happiness in someone else's pocket and we should love ourselves unapologetically.

‘I Complete Me…’ is a journey, deep within yourself, to look at all the pieces that you have lost and discover some that you never even knew that you had,” she added.

While interacting with the audience, the author shared insights on the secret of happiness. “Life begins inside out. So, we have to start accepting and loving ourselves before we attract the kind of love we want in our life. It starts with you.

And though this book is woman-centric, it is as relevant to men, as it is for women. Relationships, after all, knows no gender. Written in a conversational tone, this is an easy-to-read book and it leaves you with a definite solution.”
