Purnanand wins it for PKMCC

A splendid all-round showing by K Sai Purnanand Rao (56 runs and 5/50) helped PKMCC 219 take full five points in a Group-2 Pool-A engagement of the A2 Division two-day league championship.

Powered by the heroics of Purnanand Rao, PKMCC thrashed Classic Cricket Club by 87 runs. The winning team was also bolstered by a fluent 93-run knock by K Vikas Rao.

Meanwhile, in another A1 Division three-day League Championship-2017-18 Pool-A match at NFC grounds, inspired by two five-wicket hauls, S Praneet Raj (5/48) and Praneeth Kumar (5/48), Income-Tax was sitting pretty at stumps on day one against R Dayanand. The two came up with devastating spells to have the opponents shot out for 122. In their chase, Income Tax was 51 for the loss of one wicket.
