Gleefie was founded by Mohan Kosuri and Bharat Devisetti in 2016 as an entertainment startup and aims to leverage the growing appetite for live entertainment in the city.

Till now the company has conducted more than 50 events in the city. For the first time, they are organising the competition for ‘standup comedy’ and ‘music bands’. The auditions for standup comedy completed on August 9 and the auditions for music bands will be organised on August 12 at Phoenix Arena.

Speaking with The Hans India, Bharat Devisetti, co-founder, Gleefie, shared the competition details. “We are an online platform started last year ago and our aim is to connect audiences to entertainers and live events.

We help event planners to sell their entry tickets for an event and an easy way provided for audiences to book entry. Listings provided for both events and artists reaches wide audiences as definitely it is the good crowd that finally ensures success of an event,” said Bharat Devisetti.

“The auditions for standup comedy was completed on August 9 and we received more than 30 entries. For music bands, people can apply till August 12 through online or at the venue,” adds Bharat.

Bharat also said that Gleefie has become a perfect platform for dancers, standup comedians, DJ’s, choreographers and other artistes in the city. “We are giving prize money of Rs 10,000 and 5,000 for winner and runner-ups for standup comedy and 15,000 and 10,000 for music bands. The auditions will be closed on August 15 and finals will be organised in September first week,” he shares.

They also have an app with the same name to reach more people. Interested candidates can register through email [email protected] or call to 8886260008 on or before August 12. Minimum age limit is to participate is 21.
