It was a much-needed break from classrooms for children at St Andrews School, Keesara;at the ‘Sports Day and Investiture’ ceremony at its premises recently.

It was a much-needed break from classrooms for children at St Andrews School, Keesara;at the ‘Sports Day and Investiture’ ceremony at its premises recently.

Principal, Renuka Masihalong with Vice-Principal, Smita Daswere present at the event to support the students as were their parents and A M Emanuel,the Chairman of St. Andrew School.

The Investiture Ceremony began with the general salute. Later, the ‘Sports Day’ titled ‘Celebrations ‘17’ was declaredopen by Ashish Emanuel as red, white and blue balloons were released into the sky.

The junior school students ran onto the field to celebrate nature with a dance in costumes depicting flowers, lady bugs, bees and other tiny flora and fauna. As the sports races commenced,students cheered on their fellow classmates. Parents were equally excited to see their children participating with zeal.

From the hundred and two hundred-meter races to the relay races, the obstacle races and the drills of the tiny tots, each participant contributed to take their house to a higher score. The parents of the student cabinet were subsequently called upon to give away medals to the winners.

Later, the Chairman inspired the student cabinet to meet out their newly vested duties and responsibilities with integrity. He congratulated the parents of the winners and encouragedevery parent present to continue their fantastic cooperation with the school.
