(GHIAL) hoisted the national flag amidst the rendition of the National Anthem. He highlighted the efforts made under GHIAL’s signature programme of ‘Passenger Is Prime’, reiterating the airport’s commitment towards improving passenger experience.
Later, CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) security personnel along with the ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting) and RAXA security personnel presented the guard of honour to the guests.
The CISF Sniffer Dog Squad presented an interesting show highlighting preparedness for security at the airport. The bomb detection and disposal squad enacted mock exercise on identification and disposing of bomb using the Explosive Vapour Detector.
There was also a mock exercise on armed intervention in a bus hijack situation. Weapon tactics were also enacted by CISF Quick Response Team. Sudhir Kumar, Chief Airport Security Officer (CASO) and Commandant – CISF Unit, RGIA, was present.
