Swachhta Pakhwada at Kacheguda

The ‘Swachh Rail-Swachh Bharat, ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ was inaugurated by Minister of Labour, BandaruDattatreya at Kacheguda Railway Station on Wednesday. Termed as ‘Mission CleanlinessDrive’, the initiative saw G Kishan Reddy, MLA;Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, South Central Railway and others who sweeped the station’s premises.

Dattatreya called upon the public to maintain cleanliness and serve India. He made an appeal to actively participate in the Swachh Bharat Mission to lead the way for making India as a developed nation.

Yadav stated that South Central Railway was observing the SwachhtaPakhwadauntil August 31 to keep the trains, station premises clean and hygienic. “The Zone is always in the fore front in maintaining cleanliness standards but efforts are made to improve further to achieve highest possible standards with systemic approach,” he said.

N Madhusudana Rao, Chief Operations Manager, SCR, Arun Kumar Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and others participated in cleaning the circulating area of Kacheguda Railway Station, mechanised cleaning of platform no. 1 etc. and witnessed the skits, songs presented by cultural groups to create awareness on cleanliness amongst the rail travellers. The fortnight-long cleanliness drive will see each day marked for different activities to be taken up.
