Hero Moto Corp Limited on Thursday presented about 150 scooters to women police officers who are part of the special ‘SHE Team’. The vehicles are equipped with sirens, traffic lights and PA systems.

Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the company, Vijay Sethi, handed over the scooters to Hyderabad commissioner of police, M Mahender Reddy. In addition, 50 vehicles were given to Cyberabad Commissioner of Police, Sandeep Shandilya and 39 to Rachakonda Commissioner of Police, Mahesh M Bhagawat.
Sethi said that as the market leader and a responsible corporate citizen, Hero Moto Corp is committed to promote road safety and women empowerment. He said that they are constantly engaged in increasing awareness on these key topics through a series of programmes at the national and regional levels.
Reddy said that the importance of “She team” is growing to wipe away crime against women in the city. Representative of Hero Honda Kamal Karam Chandani assured that Hero Honda would never step back from helping out police and government for any social cause.
