In what was a low-scoring but exciting ‘Elite’ match in the HCA Inter-School league, Bhavan’s Sainikpuri struggled to defeat Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, by one wicket. The closeness was that after dismissing the opponent for a paltry 92, Bhavan’s batsmen committed hara-kiri and managed to achieve the target in 28.1 overs with the last man doing more than his bit/ As a couple of grounds were not conducive for play, some matches were abandoned without a ball being bowled.
