Written by Rick Limentani and directed by Vishal Handa the play ‘Deranged Marriage’ revolves around Tara, and how her parents want to get her married to Romi, in the arranged marriage style.

Tara has an Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), and a psychosomatic allergy to electricity and due to this she always maintains distance to electric gadgets. She meets Romil, who already has a girlfriend. Despite these issues, and advice from their parents, the two begin to fall in love.

The play is not a condemnation of every form of arranged marriage, somehow it shows the problems of forced marriages in the country. ‘Deranged Marriage’ clearly explaines the madness in arranged marriages in a comic way. Actors Priyanka Lulla, Ronit Kapil, Jeeya Sethi, Apeksha Porwal and Nitten Mahadik mesmerised the audience with their flawless effort.
