Silk and Cotton Exhibition Cum Sale was opened on August 12 and will continue till October 12 at Dr AS Rao Nagar Grounds. Artisans and Weavers Welfare Association are the organisers for the expo. Various silk saree weavers, handloom clusters and silk co-operative societies are showcasing their products in the expo.

Karnataka silk sarees, Maheswari, Chanderi silk sarees and Kota silk, mulberry silk with temple border, Uppada, Chanderi, Kota, Dhaka Muslin, Bhaglapur Kalankari,Banginpalli, Banaras jamdani, Venkatagiri, Ikkat Sarees, Warangal towels and hand-woven saris will be on display.
