Bathukamma celebrations begin
Bathukamma was celebrated in a colourful way by students of St. Peter’s Grammar School in New Bowenpally on Friday.

MP Malkajgiri constituency Ch Malla Reddy presided over the programme along with directors T Alphonse Reddy and Randhir Reddy.
The programme was elaborately choreographed with colourful dandiya performances, skit on the significance of Bathukamma festival along with related songs and dances.
The performances filled the surroundings with the spirit of festivities and left the audience enthralled. Reddy spoke on the occasion and emphasised on a childhood enriched with activities blended with discipline.
He took this opportunity to reiterate the need for students to stay away from mobile phones and social media and stay focused on their academic goals.
Students trained for skating under the guidance of coaches from Prof. Jaya Shankar Narayan Memorial Camp displayed their skating techniques and won appreciation from the guests of honour.
