The panel also comprised of Professor I Thirumali (Chairman, Joint Action Committee of Telangana Praja Sanghalu) and Professor Aloka Parasher-Sen (Department of History, University of Hyderabad).
It traces the State’s history from the establishment of the Asaf Jahi reign in the eighteenth century till the formation of the Telangana in June 2014, and deals primarily with the socio-economic and political developments that took place in the region during this period.
The volume studies the rich history of this region in the context of historical events taking place simultaneously in the rest of India. In the process, it offers a critical and comprehensive understanding of the modern history of Telangana from a linear perspective.
