Kuchipudi dancer Sobha Naidu along with her disciples performed a dance ballet ‘Srikrishna Parijatham’ recently at Telugu University. The ballet was written by Bhujangaraya Sarma and it explains how Lord Krishna gives more importance to ‘Bhakti’ than any other thing.

The performance started with the entry of Narada, who explains the greatness of Parijatha flower and also says that the flower must be given to the most loved ones. Despite knowing Satyabhama’s anger, Lord Krishna gives it to Rukmini.

Later, Narada goes to Satyabhama’s house and narrates the situation. Knowing that Krishna gives priority to Rukmini, Satyabhama reprimands Lord Krishna. To console Satyabhama, Lord Krishna promises her that he will present her the entire Parijhata tree.

Later, Lord Krishna plants the tree in Satyabhama’s house and makes arrangements that the flowers will fall in Rukmini’s home. In the end, Narada explains Satyabhama that the Lord always gives importance to ‘Bhakti’.

Sobha Naidu performed as Satyabhama, Sridevi Mungara as Lord Krishna, Preethi Tatambhotla as Rukmini, and Nitya Subhaprada as Narada. Sobha Naidu showcased anger, love and mixed emotions with ease. Her scenes with Lord Krishna are a treat to watch. The entire team mesmerised the audience with their flawless performance.
