On this occasion SP Singh, Chief Secretary inaugurated the Fossil Museum.

Dr Rajat Kumar, Principal Secretary EFS&T, inaugurated the newly-constructed elevated pathway at the elephant enclosure in the presence of PK Jha, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (HoFF), Dr Manoranjan Bhanja, PCCF (Wildlife) & Chief Wildlife Warden along with senior officers of Forest department Dr S Kukretty, Director of Nehru Zoological Park, Shivani Dogra, Curator and Dr PVS Reddy, Post Master General.

Later a special postal cover of Forest department highlighting the conservation of Gyps Indicus (Indian Vulture) was release. Prizes were distributed to the best enclosures maintenance and to the winner who participated in the Zoo premier league season -1, which was conducted during the ‘Wildlife

Royal Admin (CURATORS team) and Roaring Lions (AC I team) both the teams were the joint winners in the cricket tournament. Zoo Cops Knight (AC III team) team won the first prize in the Kabaddi championship. In Chess Mirza Akbar Baig, (Roaring Lions- AC-I team) won the first prize.

In the best enclosures maintenance, the reptile house enclosures won the first prize and the runner up was the Goral and Sambar enclosures.
