Ambassadors of nearly 15 Arab countries assembled on common platform to express their solidarity with Palestine at the Indo-Palestine Solidarity Day organised by the United Nations-recognised Indo-Arab League Hyderabad on Sunday.

Representatives of political parties from the State, and Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali expressed their views on this occasion.

Israel, according to Habbash, does not have enough power to fight these youth uprising. “Despite going through terrible social crises, Palestine has repeatedly proved its mettle”, he said referring to the acknowledgement of Palestine by the United Nations, InterPol and such international entities.

He pointed the surge in global acceptance of Palestine reckoning time when people were jailed just for raising the Palestinian flag while the same flag now waves in over 130 countries across the world even as he fervently expressed gratitude to India, and Indo-Arab League Hyderabad in particular for its continued support in strengthening bilateral ties between both nations.

Dy CM said, “The atrocities on the Palestinian people, innocent men, women and children explains how Jews like Hitler created trouble and Arab countries despite having wealth, are in the current situation of crises.”

Ambassador to Iraq Fakri Hassan Mahdi Al-Issa added that the country has always been a supporter for the Palestinian cause and for the international efforts to reach a peaceful settlement of the conflict with the occupying forces of Israel to give our dear Palestinian people their full rights.

Meanwhile, Ambassador to Syria said they would stand together with Palestine in its battle for freedom.

It is pertinent to mention that the Indo-Arab League is observing its golden jubilee this year. Vice-Chairman Dr Mir Akbar Ali Khan said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited to join the Indo-Arab League’s golden jubilee celebrations.”

The Indo Arab League Hyderabad also welcomed the reconciliation deal signed between Palestine factions “Fatah” and “Hamas” terming it a major breakthrough. Pledging continued solidarity with Palestine, Chairman of Indo-Arab League Hyderabad Syed Vicaruddin announced to offer “space for setting up Palestine Consulate in the Indo-Arab League Hyderabad’s “Arafat Complex” should the Palestinian government decide to set up one in Hyderabad. The consulate, can further strengthen the bilateral people-to-people relations, and help people in getting first-hand account of the prevailing situation there.”

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has reportedly confirmed participation in Indo-Arab League Hyderabad’s golden jubilee celebrations to be held in 2018.
