Ultra fun for runners
Champion sprinter, Dutee Chand flagged off the ‘Hyderabad Ultra Marathon’ at the Gachibowli Stadium here on Sunday. Organised by NEB Sports Entertainment Pvt Ltd in association with P Gopichand Academy the event saw more than 4,000 runners participating in categories spread across 50K, 25K, 12.5K and 5K.

“Hyderabad has always been a special running city for us, and I am glad to see such overwhelming response and support for our maiden city run here,” said race director and CMD NEB sports.
“It’s heartening to see people of the city take fitness seriously and come forward to such events that focus on promoting a healthy lifestyle,” said P Gopichand, Chief National Coach for the Indian Badminton team.
Dr SK Joshi, special chief secretary – Irrigation and CAD; Naven Mittal, Secretary – Municipal administration and urban development were among the other dignities present.
