Gachibowli: With the Global Entrepreneurship Summit commencing on November 28 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre here, officials of GHMC and HMDA are busy beautifying the landscapes of Gachibowli Outer Ring Road, Biodiversity junction, Gachibowli, Kondapur and routes connecting Hitec City to Shamshabad Airport.

Along with developing the existing dividers and beautifying them, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority’s (HMDA) urban wing plans to add a lush green cover in these areas to ensure that the delegates are given a warm and pleasant welcome.

With Prime Minister Narendra Modi, US President Donald Trump and his daughter Ivanka Trump attending the three-day meet, the State government has taken the beautification process as an illustrious project and is leaving no stone unturned to give the envoy a comfortable stay. A whopping Rs 14 crore have been spent from the State’s exchequer to embellish what were once barren lands to a paradise. Even the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited is ensuring that the stations in these areas would be given a grand look and have arranged feeder buses to facilitate the smooth travel of commuters. E-rickshaw services would be plying in areas that are in the interiors of the routes connecting to the airport.

Road renovation and development activities are being undertaken, signage of the areas would be installed in public places and footfalls facilitating a smooth movement for everyone.

Meanwhile, the GHMC is yet to beautify the footfalls with tac tiles and are gearing up to construct wide B T Roads as a part of the beautification process.
