Hyderabad: The HOD of Cardiology department of Apollo Hospitals, Hyderguda Dr V Surya Prakasa Rao addressed a gathering of over 4,000 cardiologists from across the globe in Japan recently.
The doctor spoke on the evolving and complex CTO procedures as part of the ‘CCT-2017’ event there. Dr Rao was invited as a faculty to share the finer aspects of the procedure, considering his experience of performing over 1,000 CTO procedures. Chronic Total Occlusion (CTO) is a recently evolved minimally invasive procedure performed to clear Chronic Total Occlusions or blocks in the arteries.
