Ammuguda: The Army authorities in the Secunderabad Cantonment have been complaining about the GHMC garbage carrying lorries as they leave a trail of garbage that spills each time a lorry passes by.

Army personnel keep moving about the area and there are also several units including MCEME and other training divisions. A soldier on condition of anonymity said, “The garbage can easily be carried without spillage, but it does not happen. The place stinks due to the spillage.”

When contacted, the GHMC officials refuted the charges and said that the lorries move about in several areas but they never received any complaints. However, Srividya, a school teacher and resident of Lal Bazaar said, “The place stinks due to the spillage and many school children are affect. In the vicinity there are two Kendriya Vidyalaya and Army Public School.
