Members of All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Telangana chapter accorded a warm welcome to its drama troupe, whose Vavvalukalude Nrutham (Dance of the Bats) bagged the best drama award at the All India Drama Competition organised by Kerala Nataka Akademy and Sahitya Academy in Bengaluru recently.

A S Rao Nagar: Members of All India Malayalee Association (AIMA) Telangana chapter accorded a warm welcome to its drama troupe, whose Vavvalukalude Nrutham (Dance of the Bats) bagged the best drama award at the All India Drama Competition organised by Kerala Nataka Akademy and Sahitya Academy in Bengaluru recently.

This is the first time that a drama by AIMA Telangana unit bagging the best drama award. The play was written by Suleiman Kakkodi and directed by Girish Kalathil. Actors C K Rimju, Anjana Menon, Sherly, Ephrem, P Pradeep, Vijith, Joshi and Aromal were welcomed at the Kacheguda Railway Station.

Speaking to CityLife, lead actor C K Rimju said, “This is a dream come true. We had only very short time for rehearsal and other arrangements. Yet, we could do it, all thanks to the director and all who worked behind the stage.”
