Youth brawls with police

Cherlapally: A police van, which was carrying prisoners from Cherlapally jail, was halted by two youngsters on Thursday, who were identified as Praveen Kumar and Karthik. The duo, who reside in Boduppal, allegedly attempted to take over the van posing a threat to the safe transport of prisoners. When the police warned them, the duo started fighting with the officers. Later, the boys were taken into custody by the Nacharam police and a case has been registered against them on criminal charges.
