A bid to promote handloom

Hyderabad: The Central Cottage Industries Corporation of India organised an exhibition to promote handloom and handicrafts, which began in the city recently.

“The exhibition showcases the finest Handloom from various parts of India ranging from exquisite sarees. Each product is unique reflecting the folklores, religious beliefs, cultural ethos and rich heritage of India,” said a press statement from the organisers.

Merchandise belonging to master weavers, artisans, craft persons, master crafts persons, national awardees, and shilp gurus are being promoted to foster economic development, improved livelihoods, cultural vitality and community well-being.
