A regional workshop on farmers’ welfare schemes was conducted by the Directorate of Field Publicity at CGO Towers in Kavadiguda on Friday. Creating awareness about the existing schemes offered by the government to the farmers, officials of State Bank of India and Telangana State’s Agricultural Department conducted a five-hour seminar to Field Publicity Officers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Creating awareness about the existing schemes offered by the government to the farmers, officials of State Bank of India and Telangana State’s Agricultural Department conducted a five-hour seminar to Field Publicity Officers of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Explaining the importance of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bhima Yojna in drought areas of the State, G Anitha a Special Field Officer of the Agriculture Department said, “The government has been successful in taking the schemes if not to the entire farming sector of Telangana but at least to certain regions of the state. For example, people in Mahbubnagar are 100 per cent covered under the crop insurance scheme of the central government.”
