Artisans from across the country had a field day at the ongoing ‘Kala Bharati Crafts, Cotton and Silk Expo’ at Vanasthalipuram on Tuesday.

LB Nagar: Artisans from across the country had a field day at the ongoing ‘Kala Bharati Crafts, Cotton and Silk Expo’ at Vanasthalipuram on Tuesday. The indigenous sellers are here to exhibit their ethnic weaver's and traditional attire that includes pure silk and cotton products.

Speaking on the occasion, organiser Jella Satyanarayana said, “We are extremely pleased with the response, especially Handloom products, which are being sold out a huge level. It is heartening to see that customers appreciate indigenous weavers.”

“This exhibition brings special collection for the wedding season and we have products in Uppada, Kalamkari, Venkatagiri, Pochampally, Gadwal, Narayanpet, Dharmavaram, Ikkat sarees, along with Chanderi, Bhagalpur, Kota, Kanta work. We also have hand block print sarees, Dhaka Mushlin materials and linen apart from chicken and khadi,” he said.

The exhibition-cum-sale, which began on November 17, will continue until December 7.
