LB Nagar: As part of “The Community Connect Series” Aware Gleneagles Global Hospitals conducted a scientific session on kidney stroke management for the Chemist and Druggist Association here on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, KJ Vijaya Krishna Deputy Commissioner, GHMC, LB Nagar appreciated the participation of chemists and druggists and lauded their efforts in rendering services to their clientele and asked them to generate awareness levels about the Stroke and Kidney Stone diseases.

Dr Laxman Bellamkonda, Sr Consultant Urology and Andrology said, “Today the common working man has a lot of stress related to social and family pressure along with work related pressure. He isn’t much bothered about his health. Issues like cardiac ailments, diabetes and hypertension always has a higher prevalence in men. What is not taken care are issues like prostate cancer, impotency, loss of libido and erectile dysfunction. Above the age of 40 every Indian man should be screened for his health parameters for these disease conditions.”

The event was flagged off by Dr Sharath Chandran, Chief Operating Officer, Gleneagles Global Hospitals. As an extension a “Quick Cardiac Health Check” card was launched.
