Hyderabad: The third-edition of Indywood Film Carnival (IFC) at Ramoji Film City from December 1 to 4. The announcement came at a press conference at Film Development Corporation (FDC) here recently in which TSFDC Chairman P Ram Mohan Rao said, “The carnival will be organised in association with the Government.”

Union Minister of State for Tourism Alphons Kannanthanam, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister for Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav are likely to attend the inaugural function. Celebrities, technicians and personalities from various walks of life will also attend.

“The four-day event is expected to draw 50,000 footfalls, 5,000 trade delegates, 500 plus investors, 300 exhibitors and 2,500 plus talents from across the country,” said Indywood Founder Director Sohan Roy.

“The inauguration of Indian Billionaires Club is the major highlight of Indywood Film Carnival 2017. More than 50 billionaires and over 500 investors including corporate giants from across the globe will attend,” said Sathish Chandran, Director of Indywood Consortium.

The major categories of Indywood Film Carnival are - All Lights India International Film Festival (ALIIFF), Indywood Film Market (IFM), Indywood Talent Hunt (ITH) and Indywood Excellence Awards.

Up to 130 movies will be screened from 50 countries Renowned filmmaker Shyam Benegal is chairing the event as the Festival Director. Another highlight will be the trilogy of 11 Palanca Award Winner Filipino Director Jun Robles Lana. ALIIFF will also have a special section dedicated to animation and environmental movies this year.

“Indywood Talent Hunt will be an international platform for youngsters to showcase their talents. Competitions will be held in 22 categories including short film, music, dance, still photography, advertisement, educational video, documentary film, animation character, drama, poster designing, dubsmash, performance art, film quiz, online promotion, music album, DJ, children’s short film, best reporter or journalists, RJ hunt, VJ hunt, film club and model hunt,” said Chandran.
