Traffic cops remove Gujarati Galli encroachments

Sultan Bazar: In a major move to remove permanent encroachments in Gujarati Galli here, Traffic Police cracked whip on shop owners and closed stores on Thursday. The Town Planning Department of GHMC in collaboration with Hyderabad Traffic Police undertook the drive. The area is known for electronic items, spare parts and repairing centres for electronic products and for a long time now vendors erected their stores in the lane.

Inspector for Traffic Police station at Sultan Bazar Mohd Munawar informed that they had been receiving complaints from the public saying that there was no space for commuters to move in the lane and that vehicles were parked abruptly. He said that removing the permanent encroachments in the electronic market will help in free flow of traffic.
