Musheerabad: Revenue Divisional Officer Chandrakala said elevation of the downtrodden is only possible through education.

She was speaking in a programme organised by ‘Poura Hakkula Parirakshana Sangam (PHPS)’ on the occasion of Civil Rights Day at Sanjeevaiah Nagar in Bolakpur on Thursday. She said SC and ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act has been the result of several struggles. She advised the tribal communities not to misuse the Act. She asked them to bring to the notice of either the district collector or to her if they are facing any issues.

Mandal Revenue Officer explained how to make good use of the Government schemes in spite of hurdles.

PHPS State president Sudarshan Babu, Assistant Social Welfare Officer Supriya, SC Corporation Executive Officer Govind, Ram Prasad, Karunakar, Raghu, Ramulu, Naresh Kumar and others were present.
