Corporator’s bid for pollution-free Nacharam

Nacharam: Local corporator Shanti Saizen approached State Human Rights Commission to discuss the concerns of pollution in her division here on Sunday. In a brief meeting with the officials, she said, “I have been giving representations over the last 21 years in Pollution Control Board, but nobody has taken any measures to control the same. I am sure that State Human Rights Commission would be able to take some firm steps to prevent pollution in the division.” Later, she discussed issues pertaining to the working conditions of people in industries and asked officials to conduct surprise visits to get a clear picture of what is happening.
