Corporator calls for children’s involvement
As part of ensuring ‘Swachh’ initiative in the area, local Corporator Pavani Reddy participated in a ‘Basthi Darshan programme at Viratnagar here on Monday. She participated with the people in the area to clean premises and surroundings and motivated people to do the same.
AS Rao Nagar: As part of ensuring ‘Swachh’ initiative in the area, local Corporator Pavani Reddy participated in a ‘Basthi Darshan programme at Viratnagar here on Monday. She participated with the people in the area to clean premises and surroundings and motivated people to do the same.
Speaking at the event, Pavani Reddy said, “Programmes such as these are required to boost morale of people and keep the concept of ‘Swachh Bharat’ active among everyone.” Appreciating the participation from people, she added, “While it is wonderful to see such enthusiastic participation, the initiative will go to further heights when we involve children in it. They are the future and their involvement is paramount to ensure a better India.”
Later, the Corporator interacted with locals and assured them of sorting out their problems. Following the ‘Darshan’ programme, she participated in an Ayyappa Pooja at the Ramalyam Temple and distributed food among devotees.
