Hyderabad: Advocate and Rhodes Scholar Rahul Bajaj along with founder of Trinayani (NGO) Ritika Sahni addressed a FICCI FLO talk on ‘The only disability in life is a bad attitude’ in the city on Wednesday.

Bajaj questioned the lack of differently-abled people in mainstream jobs and education. He opined that in India being disabled is one of biggest challenges.

Meanwhile, Sahni elaborated on types of and degrees of disabilities. “If 10 per cent of people in country are with disability then the 90 per cent of the people who are making decisions affects them, too,” she said and added, “Technology has not only changed the life of common man but has also affected the life of people with disability.” She said that in today’s world people need to understand what the differently abled people go through.

Chairperson of FLO Hyderabad Kamini Saraf said that disability is a state of mind and we have not control over what happens, but we can check the way we respond. She said that right attitude is a game changer, and that abled does not mean unable and disabled does not mean less abled.
