Lorry transporting cement gutted

Vikarabad: Flames erupted from the engine of a lorry transporting cement bags near Somangurthi Gate in Puduru mandal on Friday.

The incident occurred while the vehicle is on its way from Vadi in Karnataka to Hyderabad.

According to the driver of the vehicle, short circuit in the engine was the cause. He parked the lorry by the side of the road and informed the fire brigade who stepped in and put out the flames. Driver’s cabin was damaged.
