Green Sainikpuri continues ‘Shramdaan’
Fighting against even the dipping temperatures, the Green Sainikpuri brigade clad in their radiant orange vests organized their 9th consecutive “Shramdaan” near the R K Puram Flyover, here on Sunday.
RK Puram: Fighting against even the dipping temperatures, the Green Sainikpuri brigade clad in their radiant orange vests organized their 9th consecutive “Shramdaan” near the R K Puram Flyover, here on Sunday.
The team made it clear that the programme doesn’t aim to do labour work every week but to sensitise residents in the neighbourhood about ignorance of government authorities over public problems.
A volunteer said, “We want the government to reopen the illegally blocked service road below the RK Puram Flyover, relocate the existing bus top so that the road can be widened and to monitor traffic by providing traffic signals to ensure public safety.”
The team informed that even the local people have joined the movement for a better Sainikpuri. G Hema, Vijaya Naidu, CVR Sharma, Jayraman, Sriram, Ramana Reddy among several other volunteers participated in the event.
