In a remarkable achievement, 15 children from city-based Star Karate Club International won big at the recently-concluded second SCKFI International Karate Championship. The event was held in Goa in which General Secretary of KIA, Shihan Bharat Sharma was the chief guest.

Hyderabad: In a remarkable achievement, 15 children from city-based Star Karate Club International won big at the recently-concluded second SCKFI International Karate Championship. The event was held in Goa in which General Secretary of KIA, Shihan Bharat Sharma was the chief guest.

The students won seven gold and silver medals each and eight honours in bronze. Participants, who went under the training of Master MR Shahed (Black Belt 5th Dan), hailed from VIP International School, Greenwich Academy, and other colleges.

Gold medallists include Mohd Shoieb in sparring event U-14, Ouzair Bin Ayub Misri in U-13, and Mirza Ismail Baig in sparring U-14. Siilver medallists include Mohd Aman in sparring U-15 and Mohd Raqeeb in kumite U-8. Bronze medallists include Mohd Naiaf Ali Arif in sparring U-9, Mujataba Khan in sparring U-10, Rehan Mujahid in sparring U-11, and Mohd Ismail in sparring U-10.

Meanwhile, Syed Musaddiq Ali won gold and silver in sparring in U-9 and Mohd Shahed Khan won bronze in sparring and gold in Kata U-13 categories. Mohd Hadi won bronze medal in sparring and a gold in Kata U-14 section.

Mohd Atif Ali Arif won a silver in sparring and bronze in Kata U-9 category. Mohd Shuja black belt won silver medal in sparring and bronze in kata U-18 category and Azam Ali Abrar Sharfi black belt won a silver in sparring in above-20 years category.
The winners were congratulated by Grand Master MS Javeed, the founder of Star Karate Club International.
