ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) is orginising a two-day national workshop for farmers at its premises in Rajendranagar on Friday and Saturday. The workshop is intended to get farmers views and experiences on ‘Doubling Famers Income by 2022’. 

Hyderabad: ICAR- National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM) is orginising a two-day national workshop for farmers at its premises in Rajendranagar on Friday and Saturday. The workshop is intended to get farmers views and experiences on ‘Doubling Famers Income by 2022’.

The workshop is being conducted as a part of ICAR project entitled “Farmers FIRST”. The main aim of the programme is that farmers will be in a centric role for research problem identification prioritisation, conduct of experiments, and its management in farmer’s field condition.

During the workshop, State-wise experiences and views of the farmers would be obtained in a technical session chaired by Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Gajendra Sing Shekhawat. Nearly 200 farmers from 24 States would be attending this event. Assistant Director General from ICAR headquarters and director of ICAR institute will also be present at the workshop.
