4-day kids fair off to a colourful start

Hitec City: Christmas came early for children when the 10th edition of ‘Hyderabad Kids Fair 2017’ began at Hitex here on Friday. The fair, which will continue until December 24, was inaugurated by actor Thanikella Bharani and mimicry artiste Shiva Reddy.

Over 100 exhibitors are showcasing their products and services at the event that includes child friendly furniture, toy library, learning through toys, private play grounds, sports centres, children’s’ gym, early childhood music and motion based learning to name a few.

Bharani highlighted the significance of sports for children and termed it a ‘must’ for their development, both physical and mental. “Unfortunately, we don’t have enough space for the same in urban areas,” he said. Comedian Siva, too, spoke about the need of sports for children. “We need open playgrounds and not artificial ones,” he said.
