Secunderabad: Prerana a student of St Martins High School is all excited about the visit to parliament in February during the budget session in 2018. In all, ten students from the city along with their parents would be making a trip to New Delhi, thanks to Malkajgiri MP Ch Malla Reddy who is facilitating the trip.

Malla Reddy said, “We collected questions to be asked in parliament from the students and I would be doing the needful on their behalf. We were happy to receive so many questions mostly very contemporary and important. For instance, a girl wants to know why there has been no action on heavy school bags.”

Sahiti Priya, a student of MB Grammar School, Suraram has a question on rising prices on all commodities. On request from parents the trip was postponed to February as it is cold in the capital city these days.

The students would be visiting the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha chambers and the Central Hall and would witness the proceedings. Malla Reddy said, “The idea is to sensitise students about social issues and instil a sense of patriotism. We plan to take more students in the future.”
