Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) celebrated its Annual Heritage and Cultural Day at Ravindra Bharathi here recently. This year the fest witnessed a massive participation of 10,000 students from across 800 schools in Hyderabad. 

Lakdikapul: Hare Krishna Movement (HKM) celebrated its Annual Heritage and Cultural Day at Ravindra Bharathi here recently. This year the fest witnessed a massive participation of 10,000 students from across 800 schools in Hyderabad.

The event was graced by Swami Goud Chairman of Telangana Legislative Council, Ravinranath Gupta Trustee of Ayan Vysha hostel and Sataya Gaura Chandra Dasa President of Hare Krishna Movement and Akshaya Patra Foundation Telangana.

Speaking on the occasion Swami Goud said, “Hare Kishna Movement is doing a commendable job of imparting culture, values, traditions and customs along with knowledge for the children and thereby instilling self-confidence, leadership skills, nationalism, creativity and humanity amongst the young minds.”

Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa added, "The Heritage Fest is not only a convergence of cultural contests but it is a cherished event that endeavours to bridge the cultural divide in this era of tech-frenzy, increasing juvenile delinquency and stressed lifestyle of kids.


Later the winners of the fest showcased their talents and skills during the programme and entertained the audience. Looking at the overwhelming response to the Heritage Fest, HKM is planning to extend this event to the entire State by next year.
