Celebrating women’s success
Sri Vasavi Women’s Organisation celebrated its silver jubilee here on Friday. Telangana State Police Housing Corporation chairman Kolleti Damodar and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya attended the event. Telangana State Police Housing Corporation chairman Kolleti Damodar and Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya attended the event. The organisation has been actively involved to generate employment for 25 women and several part-time workers. With a motive to encourage young girls to achieve their dreams, the nongovernmental organization has been a key sponsor in setting up the “Vanitha Vikas Educational & Social Service Trust” at Picket.
Salike Ananthalaxmi, chairperson said that the motive of the organisation is to support women as she believes that when women support one another, incredible things happen. A brochure titled Empower Women was released by Kolleti Damodar on the occasion, which enlists the achievements of the organization.
Dattatreya said, “It is a pleasure to see women progressing in their lives because a woman who is independent can create a better society.”
