Hyderabad: Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) ex corporator Khaja Bilal on Wednesday joined Congress party before media persons. He alleged that MIM was indulging in divisive politics across the country.

He said that MIM was cutting secular votes in the name of ‘ittehad’ and said that secularism was the only way for all the sections of society to survive in the country.

Citing the examples from Uttar Pradesh elections this year, Khaja Bilal said that MIM facilitated the win of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), a staunch rival of MIM, too. He alleged that Majlis wanted to defeat Congress in Karnataka and that is the reason it was fielding its candidates there. He was addressing a press conference in the city.
