A large number of Ayyappa devotees participated on final day of ‘Mandala’ pooja celebrations here on Wednesday. The festivities were going on from December 16.
Bowenpally: A large number of Ayyappa devotees participated on final day of ‘Mandala’ pooja celebrations here on Wednesday. The festivities were going on from December 16.
The procession covered the main streets with the Bhadrakal devi idol placed on a special vehicle. Clad in traditional attire from Kerala, devotees performed special dances and music throughout the procession, such as “pancha vayidyam”, “thappoli”, “singari melam”, “kakam”, “kavadi”, and “nadha swaram bhajan”.
Local cantonment board member J Maheshwar Reddy, Satish Guru Swamy, and Sanjeev Guri Swamy participated.
