Laying seeds of development
Telangana State Excise and Prohibition minister T Padma Rao Goud inaugurated developmental works at Uppari Basthi, here on Thursday. Rao laid the foundation for the construction of the first floor of a community hall whose total worth is estimated to be around Rs 16 lakh.

In another occasion, the minister initiated nala widening activities worth Rs 16 lakh along with local Corporator Samala Hema, GHMC Deputy Commissioner K Ravi Kumar and senior TRS leaders.
Speaking on the occasion, Rao said, "In the past three and half years we achieved many milestones in developing areas like Uppari Basthi, Srinivas Nagar, Friday Market area etc.. We have been successful in disbursing monetary aids to those in need and with the help of the Urban Community Development have been able to grant interest-free loans to Self Help Groups.
From proposing new government buildings for providing education to building Double Bedroom houses in Subash Nagar Colony, our government only aims for the welfare of its people."
